Xiaomi has officially announced a new entry-level 5G smartphone in the Japanese market known as the Redmi Note 10T 5G. Despite bearing the same moniker, this model is largely different from the Note 10T 5G which was launched in the Asian markets last year.
Right off the bat, the new model builds around a 6.5” IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also features an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfies and video calls on the device.
On the rear side, it features a slightly redesigned camera housing from what we saw from the Redmi Note 10T 5G’s global variant. A total of two cameras will be present at the back and that includes a 50 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth sensor for portraits.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 10T 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset. The global version in contrast, was powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip instead.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is fueled by a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, the phone also comes with support for FeliCa, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as MIUI 13 based on Android 11.
For those who’re interested, the Redkmi Note 10T 5G is available in a trio of colors such as Azure Black, Nighttime Blue, and Lake Blue. In the Japanese market, the Redmi Note 10T 5G is priced at 34,800 Yen (US$275) for it’s sole model with 4GB+64GB memory configuration.
