Xiaomi has confirmed that the company will be launching the next-generation’s Redmi Note 11 series smartphones on October 28th next month. Based on reports, the company is expected to unveil at least three models including the vanilla Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro, as well as a top-of-the-line Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
Ahead of it’s launch, Xiaomi has released several teasers which confirmed the presence of an AMOLED display on the Redmi Note 11 series smartphones. However, we’re most likely to see the AMOLED display only on the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+, since we’d learned from a recent leak that the vanilla Redmi Note 11 will settle with a LCD display.
Diving into the specifics, it was revealed the AMOLED display will bring support for 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut coverage as well as blue light reduction feature.
Similarly, it’s also obvious from the teaser that the display will be arriving with a central hole-punch cutout to accommodate it’s selfie camera as well. What’s notable is that the new Redmi Note 11 series smartphones will be adopting a flat edge design similar to what we saw on the OPPO Reno6 5G.
For the benefits of those who’d missed out, the Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ are expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810, Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 1200 chipsets respectively. On top of that, these devices are also tipped to be equipped with 33W, 67W, as well as 120W fast-charging support respectively.
