Apart from the Redmi Note 11T Pro series smartphones, Xiaomi has also announced a third (and also more affordable) model known as the Redmi Note 11 SE. As you can probably tell from it’s moniker, this will be an entry-level smartphone targeted towards the more budget-conscious consumers.
The Redmi Note 11 SE builds around a 6.5” LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the device has an 8MP front-facing snapper tucked into a centered punch-hole camera cutout.
Over at the back, the phone features a dual-camera setup comprising of a 48 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor to help with portrait shots and a LED flash to help with low-light photography.
Sitting at the heart of the Redmi Note 11 SE is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset that’s coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage in the memory department. Though the microSD slot was absent on the Redmi Note 11T Pro series devices, it’s actually available on this device to help with storage expansion.
The phone will draw power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which charges at an acceptably fast 18W charging speed via it’s USB Type-C port. Software-wise, the device actually ships with a slightly older MIUI 12 based on Android 11 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested in the Redmi Note 11 SE can select the phone from two different colorways such as Blue and Black. It’ll be priced starting at just 1,099 Yuan (US$165) for it’s 4GB+128GB trim and goes up to 1,399 Yuan (US$210) for it’s higher-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
