The Redmi Note 12 series is reportedly in the works. It appears that Redmi may announce it as early as October in China. The predecessor series included the Redmi Note 11, the Note 11 Pro, and the Note 11 Pro. Hence, it appears the Note 12 series may also feature three devices.
Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in November this year. Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi 13 series may debut in November, or at least before the end of 2022. The well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, claimed today that the last wave of three Redmi smartphones before the Xiaomi 13 series debuts in China.
It seems that the tipster could be talking about the Redmi Note 12 family. The reason behind it is that the company announced the Redmi Note 11 series in October. Hence, it is likely that the company could be planning to unveil the Note 12 series around the same time in China.
The tipster revealed that the upcoming Redmi phones have 22101317C, 22101316C, and 22101316UCP model numbers. These devices are codenamed M17, M16, and M16UP, respectively. These devices may debut in China as the Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Among the three phones, the alleged Note 12 Pro has been spotted at China’s 3C certification site with a 67W charger.
Rumors have it that the Redmi Note 12 family will come equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera. The Note 12 Pro and Pro+ editions may feature the Dimensity 1300 chipset. These devices may support 67W and 120W charging, respectively.
