The Redmi Note 5 Pro houses a 5.99-inch FHD+ display that supports 18:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 636 chipset powers the 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants of the phablet. Both the RAM variants come with 64 GB of storage. It is packed with a 4,000mAh battery.
The MIUI 9 based Android 7.0 Nougat comes loaded on the phone. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The back panel features a dual camera setup that includes 1.25?m pixel sized 12-megapixel sensor + 1.12?m pixel sized 5-megapixel sensor.
The dual camera setup enables the Note 5 Pro to capture images with bokeh effect. It has a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel which is equipped with Selfie-LED flash. It can shoot AI driven enhanced selfie shots. At the end of the next month, Xiaomi has promised to enable Face Unlock feature on the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The two variants of the Redmi Note 5 are respectively priced at Rs. 13,999 (~$218) and Rs. 16,999 (~$265). It will be available through Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores beginning from Feb. 22.
