Redmi Note 5 Renders Suggest that it May Feature Dual Rear Cameras

Xiaomi is known for announcing new Redmi and Redmi Note series of phones in the last quarter of the year in China. Hence, the rumor mill is speculating the Chinese frim may unveil the Redmi Note 5 budget smartphone soon. An Indian publication has created renders of the Redmi Note 5 based on its rumors.

According to the publication, the Redmi Note 5 will be sporting a metal unibody design that is similar to Redmi Note 4. The smartphone will be featuring volume rockers, Power key, IR blaster, 3.5mm audio jack and USB-C port around the edges. It is expected to feature a 5.5-inch FHD display. The company may reduce the top and bottom bezels for a higher screen-to-body ratio.

The Redmi Note 5 could be the first phone from the company to feature dual rear cameras. The dual camera setup is pegged to feature a 16-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. For selfies, it may house a 12-megapixel front camera. The rear side also features a fingerprint scanner.

The Snapdragon 660 chipset or MediaTek Helio P25 chipset is expected to power the smartphone. It is expected to come in RAM variants like 3 GB and 4GB as well as storage variants like 32 GB and 64 GB. It is speculated to feature a 4,000mAh battery and may come preinstalled with Android 7.1 Nougat OS.
