Earlier this month, the newly established independent brand Redmi introduced the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in China. It confirmed that it will be debuting the Redmi Note 7 Pro with a better primary camera in the coming month in the home market. Fresh information shared by an Indian publication reveals that the Redmi Note 7 series will be announced in India by the end of the first quarter of 2019.
The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones were made official in February last year and now its time for India to receive the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro smartphones. The Redmi Go that is expected to go official alongside the Redmi Note 7 series could be the company’s first Android Go smartphone.
The Redmi Note 7 has 6.3-inch notched IPS LCD display, Snapdragon 660 chipset, 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor + 5-megapixel dual camera, 13-megapixel front camera and 4,000mAh battery. The Note 7 Pro is tipped to debut with the same specs, but instead of SD660 and Samsung GM1 sensor, it may feature SD675 and 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor. No details on the specifications of the Redmi Go are known. It could be running on Android 9 Pie Go edition OS and it may feature 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage along with an 18:9 display.
