Redmi Note 8 may takes quite some time to leave China

Xiaomi fans all over the world were probably hyped up after looking at the specs of the newly announced Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro.

However, bad news is that the device may not be available in the global market any time soon. This came after Redmi’s GM Lu Weibing told 91Mobiles that the Redmi Note 8’s India launch will take at least a couple of months.

Keeping in mind that India is usually the second market (after China) for both Xiaomi and Redmi to launch their new products, a delay for India’s launch may indirectly hints a similar delay for other markets as well.

Although the company did not reveal any reasons pointing to the delay, but many believed it may be due to supply chain issues which affected it’s production.

Others on the other hand, believed it’s because Xiaomi has only recently launched the rebranded Redmi K20 and K20 Pro in India and many other markets – and therefore do not want to over-saturate the overseas smartphone market in fear that it would affects the overall sales.

Whatever it is, we are pretty certain that the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro should be available in most market by Christmas.
