Fresh leaks have been claiming that Redmi will be soon launching 5G-ready Redmi Note 9 series phones and not Note 10 series in China. A Chinese tipster had recently claimed that this month could see the arrival of three Redmi Note 9 series phones in the home market. Today, the same tipster shared some vital information on the base model of the series.
According to the tipster, the base model of the Redmi Note 9 series has a punch-hole at the upper left corner of its screen. The diameter of the camera hole is slightly large measuring around 3.9mm. He added that the phone is equipped with an LCD panel. Also, the display supports a high refresh rate.
It appears that the tipster could be talking about the M2007J22C phone that was recently certified by the MIIT and 3C authorities of China. Interestingly, its global edition that has a model number of M2007J22G was approved as a POCO phone by the EEC authority.
The M2007J22C phone’s leaked shot (shown above) that appeared in September revealed a couple of vital information. First, the phone was seen with a top-left corner punch-hole and it was found to be fueled by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, which could be the Dimensity 800U chipset.
The image had further revealed that the device is loaded with MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS. Another leaked shot suggests that it has round-shaped camera housing with another rectangle arrangement for the 48-megapixel triple cameras. The exact size of its battery is not known, but its 3C listing revealed that it could be coming with 22.5W fast charging support.
