Yesterday, Xiaomi had released a teaser featuring a big-sized “S” alphabet through the Xiaomi Company Weibo account. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has released yet another teaser on it. The new teaser carries the word “Surprise” along with May 10 date. Could it be launching the Redmi S2 on the said date?
Whatever Xiaomi is planning to launch, it will be collaborating with Chinese retailer, Suning Tesco to announce it on May 10. It seems that the Redmi S2 that has already been certified by 3C and TENAA in China may debut in the coming week.
The Redmi S2’s TENAA listing has revealed that its appearance will be similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6X as it features a full screen design and a vertical dual camera setup. It is expected to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio screen of 5.99 inches that will carry support for HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 625 SoC is expected to power the phone. It is likely to feature 3,080mAh battery. It may come in multiple RAM choices like 2 GB / 3 GB / 4 GB and storage options like 16 GB / 32 GB / 64 GB. It may house a frontal shooter of 16-megapixel and 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup.
