Xiaomi will be holding a launch event for announcing the Redmi S2 smartphone on May 10. Just like other Redmi phones, it is expected to arrive with a low pricing. With three days remaining for the launch, Xiaomi is claiming through a new teaser that the Redmi S2 will be the best ever Redmi selfie phone from the company.
Previous reports have revealed that the Redmi S2 will be featuring 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. Also, it features a selfie-LED flash enabled 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The Redmi S2 will be offering attractive features like AI portrait and AI beauty for the front camera. Through the portrait mode, the dual cameras can snap photos with blurring effect. AI beauty mode can help in shooting enhanced selfie shots by enhancing the facial features. It will also carry support for face unlock.
The Snapdragon 625 SoC will be powering the smartphone. It will be arriving in multiple storage and RAM variants such as 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM, 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM and 16 GB storage + 2 GB of RAM. Also, it will be arriving with the trendy full screen design. It is speculated its pricing won’t exceed 999 Yuan (~$155) in China.
