Redmi recently unveiled the Redmi K80 series of smartphones in China. The lineup includes two phones, such as the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro. This time the company did not launch the Redmi K80e as a successor to last year’s Redmi K70e. Reports have revealed that the brand will announce the Redmi Turbo 4 instead of the K80e this year. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, reveals the launch timeframe of the device.
Upcoming phones to launch in December 2024 in China
According to the tipster, a couple of new phones are expected to hit the Chinese market this month. The Realme Neo 7, equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus, is already confirmed to debut on Dec. 11 in China.
The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Elite, are also officially confirmed to launch this month in the home market. Apart from these phones, the Redmi Turbo 4 and Honor GT are also tipped to launch this month in China.
The tipster revealed that the Honor GT will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 100W fast charging. As far as the Redmi Turbo 4 is concerned, reports have claimed that it will be the first phone to feature the upcoming Dimensity 8400 SoC.
Other reports have revealed that the Redmi Turbo 4 will have an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and supports 90W fast charging. It is expected to pack a battery of around 6,000mAh capacity. This phone is likely to get rebranded as the Poco X7 Pro in the global market.
Redmi is also expected to announce the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro featuring the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip next year. It may get rebranded as the Poco F7 globally.
