Redmi Turbo 5 key details tipped

According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Redmi Turbo 5 series will see a noticeable performance boost. While the lineup is expected to include both the Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Pro models, the company may initially release only the standard version. The tipster also noted that the Turbo 5 will gain a first-mover advantage, suggesting it could be among the first devices to feature a new MediaTek chipset.
Smart Pikachu revealed that the Turbo 5 will offer several hardware upgrades, including a metal middle frame, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, a minimalist camera module design, and a larger battery for improved endurance. He further added that the device will be powered by a new MediaTek Dimensity chip, described as a mid-range flagship platform. As per reports, this chip is expected to be the Dimensity 8500-Ultra.

In the comments section of the Weibo post, the tipster mentioned that the Redmi Turbo 5 could debut in November, and that only one model will be introduced at that time. This implies that the Turbo 5 Pro may launch later, possibly in the first half of 2026.
Previous reports have revealed that the Redmi Turbo 5 will have a 1.5K LTPS OLED screen. And it is expected to house a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
There are also speculations that the Redmi Turbo 5 may debut globally as the Poco X8 Pro. The device has reportedly received EEC certification in Europe, though it remains uncertain whether its international release will take place before the end of this year.
