Multiple reports in the past have suggesting that the Huawei Mate 50 series will not be launched this year due to supply chain constraints that arise as a result of the ongoing US trade ban.
That apparently is not the case according to a senior expert of the DSCC who remains adamant that the much anticipated flagship series will still break cover somewhere during October this year.
Coincidentally, Huawei had also confirmed that the company will be holding a global launch event in Vienna on October 21st this year. This somehow raised speculations whether the Mate 50 series smartphones might actually be unveiled during the aforementioned launch event.
However, before we get too excited over this possibility, it’s worth noting that most reports do share a common belief that the October 21st event is specially held for the launch of the Huawei P50/ Nova 9 series smartphones in the global market.
With all the news reports that appear to contradict each other with regard to the Huawei Mate 50 series launch date, it’s better to take it’s alleged October launch with a pinch of salt until we have more concrete information on that.
