Earlier today, Samsung has officially announced both the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in Taiwan during their official press conference. As expected, both of these devices came with mid-range performance but with a much more affordable price tag as compared to their flagship devices.

The Galaxy A3 comes with a cheaper price tag of $287, while the slightly larger Galaxy A5 has a price tag of $383. The Galaxy A3 rocks a 4.5″ qHD display powered by a Snapdragon 401 chipset along with 1.5GB RAM. Other key specs include a 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 1,900mAh battery as well as Android 4.4.4 KitKat running in the background.

For the Galaxy A5, it sports a 5″ HD display powered by a Snapdragon 401 chipset but with a 2GB RAM instead. It also has an improved rear camera of 13MP as well as larger battery size at 2,300mAh. As with the rest of the specs, they’re similar to its Galaxy A3 sibling.
