Which company is going to launch the first Snapdragon 865 powered handset? Samsung’s global launch event for Galaxy S20 series will be held at 11 AM PST in the U.S. Xiaomi is also expected to become the first brand to launch the first Snapdragon 865 driven phones. However, the Chinese firm is yet to confirm the launch event for the Xiaomi Mi 10 series. Samsung China has confirmed that it will be livestreaming the U.S launch event.
As the above screenshot reveals, the Samsung China will be doing a live broadcast starting at 3 AM on Feb. 12. Samsung will be announcing the Galaxy S20 series at the upcoming Galaxy event. The South Korean company is also expected to announce the Galaxy Z Flip at the same unveil event.
Multiple reports have revealed that the Galaxy S20 series will include Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G phones. The handsets will respectively feature a 6.2-inch, a 6.7-inch and a 6.9-inch S-AMOLED Infinity-O displays. These phones carry supports for quad HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Galaxy S20 series will be powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform in certain markets, while other countries will be treated with its Exynos 990 SoC version. These phones will be equipped with LPDDR5 RAM. The Galaxy S20 will have 64-megapixel triple cameras and the S20+ will becoming with the same cameras as S20 along with a 3D ToF sensor. The S20 Ultra will be equipped with 100-megapixel quad cameras with 100X support.
The Galaxy Z Flip will be arriving as the company’s second foldable display phone. Unlike the Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip is a clamshell device.
