Samsung has announced a new entry-level 5G device in the Japanese market known as the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G SC-56B. Despite the same moniker, this device is essentially a different model from the Galaxy A22 5G that was recently launched in the global market.
For starter, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G SC-56B sports a 5.8” TFT display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calls.
Around the back of the phone, it has a single 13 megapixels main camera which will be aided by a LED flash for shooting under low-light environment. Also, it’s rear panel will be available in a trio of colors including Red, White and Black.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A22 5G SC-56B is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage that can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Galaxy A22 5G SC-56B draws power from a modest 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging speed. Other than that, the phone also comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC support, as well as Android 11 OS.
At the moment, the company has yet to announce the official pricing of the device. However, it’s said to be available in the Japanese market after mid-December this year.
