We’d already heard about the existence of the Samsung Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G smartphones for quite some time. Now, official renders of both devices have also made their way to the web ahead of the actual launch.
On the outside, both the Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G share a largely identical design with an Infinity-V display upfront and a square-shape camera module around the back of the phone.
One notable difference between the two devices lies in the placement of the LED flash. For the Galaxy A22, the LED flash is placed slightly below the camera module, while the LED flash of the Galaxy A22 5G sits within the camera module itself.
Interestingly, the Galaxy A22 actually has one additional 2 megapixels camera over the Galaxy A22 5G. Other than that, both devices sport the same 48 megapixels main camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide unit, as well as a 2 megapixels auxiliary camera.
Over at the front, the Galaxy A22 gets a 6.4” AMOLED display with HD+ screen resolution. The Galaxy A22 5G on the other hand, has a 6.4” LCD display with a slightly higher FHD+ screen resolution. Both devices however, settles with the same 13 megapixels selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G are powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 and Dimensity 700 chipsets respectively. They are all fueled by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support.
