In December 2019, Samsung announced the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 smartphones. Few months later, the South Korean tech giant unveiled the 5G editions of both smartphones. It is unclear whether the A-series phones arriving later this year will arrive with 5G capabilities. However, a fresh report on Sammobile claims that the Galaxy A42 launching next year could be the cheapest 5G smartphone from Samsung.
According to the publication, the Galaxy A42 5G has a model number SM-A426B. While the publication has no confirmation on the existence of the 4G variant of the Galaxy A42, it is likely that the phone will be available in 4G and 5G editions. The SM-A426B model number probably belongs to the international edition of the smartphone.
It is said that the Galaxy A42 will be coming with a native storage of 128 GB. The handset is likely to arrive in color editions such as grey, white and black. The other details of the phone are yet to surface. The Galaxy A41 was made official in May. Hence, it is likely that the Galaxy A42 may go official around the same time in the coming month.
