Samsung Galaxy A53 5G & Galaxy A33 5G unveiled with new Exynos 1280 chipset

Besides launching the Galaxy A73 5G smartphone, Samsung had also announced another pair mid-range models known as the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G during the Galaxy Awesome Unpacked Event. These devices come with some pretty nice upgrades over their predecessors, including a brand new chipset under the hood.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

Starting with the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, the model features a 6.5” Super AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the Galaxy A73 5G, it employs a centered hole-punch cutout to accommodate it’s 32 megapixels front-facing camera.

At the back, the phone features a total of four cameras including a 64 megapixels main camera, 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a pair of 5 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A53 5G is powered by the latest Exynos 1280 chipset which will paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, there will be a respectable 5,000mAh battery that comes with 25W fast-charging support. Unsurprisingly, the phone is also shipped with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 OS.

For those who’re interested, the Galaxy A53 5G is offered in a four different colors such as Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, Awesome White and Awesome Peach. In the European market, the phone is priced starting at €450 for it’s 6GB+128GB model.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G

Moving on to the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, this device features a slightly smaller 6.4” Super AMOLED display which keeps the same FHD+ resolution, but cut it’s refresh rate down to 90Hz. Also, it gets a toned-down 13 megapixels front-facing camera instead of the 32 megapixels unit found on the Galaxy A53 5G.

As for photography, it still has a pretty versatile quad-camera setup which is lead by a 48 megapixels main camera alongside an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera as well as a 5 megapixels macro and 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Just like the Galaxy A53 5G, the phone is also powered by the new Exynos 1280 chipset coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card.

Similarly, it’s equipped with the same 5,000mAh battery that comes with a decently-fast 25W charging speed. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from a total of four colors including Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, Awesome White and Awesome Peach.

In the European market, pricing for the Galaxy A33 5G starts from just €370 for it’s 6GB+128GB base model.
