Samsung hasn’t launched a new smartphone after the Galaxy S24 series, which debuted in January of this year. It is speculated that the next A-series, such as the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, have been reportedly planned to launch in March in various markets. Ahead of the expected launch, popular tipster Mukul Sharma has leaked live shots of the device. In addition, the leaker also revealed its key specifications.
Samsung Galaxy A55 leaked shots
The Galaxy A55 live shots seem to showcase its black and white editions. The overall rear design of the phone is almost identical to the Galaxy A54 from last year. There is a noticeable bulge on the right edge, which houses a volume controller and a power button. It is nothing but the new Key Island design that promotes better grip.
The other edges of the Galaxy A55 are not clearly visible. It has three vertically arranged cameras with an LED flash on the back. While the front is not visible, previous leaks have revealed that it has a punch-hole AMOLED screen equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The tipster said that the Galaxy A55 has flat edges with a metallic frame. In terms of specifications, the leak states that it has 12 GB of RAM and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support.
The main snapper will be accompanied by 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel auxiliary cameras. These could be dedicated cameras for ultra-wide and macro shots.
Other reports have said that the Galaxy A55 will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to feature the Exynos 1480 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and up to 256 GB of built-in storage.
