Today, Samsung announced its AI model, called the Galaxy AI. However, the company did not disclose all the features but revealed that it would be unveiled in early 2024. This indicates that the Galaxy AI may appear first in the Galaxy S24 series.
According to a press release by Samsung, the Galaxy AI will offer both on-device AI developed by Samsung as well as cloud-based AI in partnership with industry leaders. Samsung confirmed that AI Live Translate Call will be one of the features of the Galaxy AI.
The said feature will be integrated into the native phone app, which means there will be no need to install a third-party app for the same purpose. The AI feature will show real-time audio and text translation during the conversation. Since the translations will be done by Galaxy AI on the device, there will be no risk of security, claims the company.
Samsung is yet to confirm anything about the Galaxy S24 series. However, as per a recent report, the company may unveil it on Jan. 17. The lineup is expected to include three phones, such as the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24 Plus, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Various smartphone brands are working on adding AI-powered features to their smartphones. The Pixel 8 series adds AI tools for enhanced photo editing, while Apple has reportedly invested a lot of money in its forthcoming AI model, which may appear on the iPhone 16 lineup.
