Samsung has just announced a refreshed model of 2018’s Galaxy J2 Core which will maintain exactly the same design language and pretty much most of its other key specs.
The only difference is that this model will be packing twice the storage capacity as compared to the 2018’s model as Samsung has bump it up from 8GB to 16GB this time round. Moreover, its storage capacity could be further expanded by up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Other than that, the Galaxy J2 Core (2020) will continue to sport a 5″ LCD display with qHD screen resolution at the front. Its selfie camera will be affixed to a huge bezels towards the top of the device.
In fact, we haven’t been seeing such a huge bezels for quite some time even among other entry-level smartphones. Over at the back, there is a single 8 megapixels camera which will be assisted by a LED flash.
The Galaxy J2 Core (2020) will be powered by a quad-core Exynos 7570 SoC coupled with 1GB worth of RAM. Although that’s pretty underwhelming, but its more than sufficient keeping in mind that the device run on a lightweight Android 8 Go.
To keep its lights on, there will be a 2,600mAh battery which is capable of supporting hours of continuous usage on the go. For those who’re interested, the device will be available in three different colorways including Blue, Black and Gold.
In India, the Galaxy J2 Core will be priced at just INR6,299 (US$83).
