Previously, there were reports which suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M31s will debut this month. Indeed, Samsung has officially confirmed that the much anticipated handset will be announced on July 31st.
Along with the launch date, the teaser released by Samsung has also revealed the front and rear designs of the Galaxy M31s which look exactly similar to the leaked renders we’d seen over the weekend.
This time round, the Galaxy M31s will see a change in design language from the current Galaxy M31. On its front panel, it will employ a central hole-punch design instead of the typical dewdrop-notch for its selfie camera. The front display also has relatively thin bezels along the four sides.
On the flip-side, the Galaxy M31s will maintains a rectangular camera housing with a quad-cameras setup. However, we can see that the camera sensors and LED flash are configured in a different arrangement from the Galaxy M31.
Likewise, it is also obvious that the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor has been removed from the Galaxy M31s as well. Therefore, it is possible that the device will feature either a side-mounted or in-display fingerprint scanner this time round.
In terms of specs, a recent Geekbench listing had confirmed that the Galaxy M31s will be driven by an octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC coupled with 6GB worth of RAM. It is likely to have an option between 64GB and 128GB storage capacity.
In its imaging department, the Galaxy M31s is said to sport a 64MP Quad-cameras system which is likely to include a main camera, ultra-wise lens, macro camera, as well as a depth sensor.
To keep its lights on, the Galaxy M31s will draw power from the same 6,000mAh battery according to its TUV Rheinland listing. This should be accompanied with at least 15W fast-charging support.
