Samsung Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10 Plus Goes Official

The wait is over! The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are finally unveiled during the Unpack Event held in New York today.

On our first look, the new Galaxy Note 10 series is without a doubt the sleekest device ever presented in the entire Galaxy Note history. It’s front and back panel adopts a minimalist design which carries its own unique style and elegance.

First and foremost, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 features a glamorous 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED display which has a 1080p+ screen resolution and an overall 401 ppi density. Similar to the Galaxy Note 9, the new Note 10’s display is also curved along the edges and eliminates the side bezels.

Under the hood, the device is driven by the latest Exynos 9825 SoC or Snapdragon 855 SoC (in the United States) which is paired with 8GB of RAM and a hefty 256GB internal storage space in the memory compartment. Similarly, it also supports the latest UFS 3.0 technology which supports incredibly fast app booting.

Moving on to it’s camera, the Galaxy Note 10 has a triple-camera setup on its back panel, which comprises of a 12 megapixels (f/1.5 – f/2.4 dual aperture) main snapper, a 12 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultrawide sensor, as well as a 16 megapixels (f/2.1 aperture) telephoto lens. On its front panel, it also houses a 10 megapixels for selfie and video-calling purposes.

Sitting beneath it’s rear chassis is none other than it’s 3,500mAh non-removable battery which supports up to 25W fast-charging via USB-C or wireless charging. It runs on the One UI based on the latest Android Pie OS.

There are five color options to choose from namely Aura Glow, Aura Black, Aura White, Aura Pink and Aura Red.

As it’s name suggests, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus will arrive with a slightly larger 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display which boosts a better screen resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels. This equates to an overall 498 ppi density for the display.

The Note 10+ will be driven by the same Exynos 9825 SoC or Snapdragon 855 SoC but will be paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB onboard storage.

As for it’s rear camera, the only distinction between the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus will be the addition of ToF depth sensor for the latter. The other 3 sensors remain the same among the pair. Even for the selfie camera, the Note 10 Plus carries a similar 10 megapixels sensor for it’s hole-punched compartment on it’s front panel.

In terms of power supply, the Note 10+ is fulled by a larger 4,300mAh battery to supplement for it’s bigger display. It can support up to 45W fast-charging via USB-C and could support wireless charging as well. A total of four color options including Aura Glow, Aura Black, Aura White and Aura Blue are available for the Note 10+.

Both the Note 10 and Note 10+ will come with an enhanced S-Pen this time round which supports a new feature dubbed as AR Doodle which allows you to practically draw over any object or people under the camera mode. In fact, the drawing would even move along with the movement of the subject.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10 Plus Pricing

In the US, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 pricing will kick off at US$949 (S$1,311).

As for the Galaxy Note 10+, it’s base model with 12GB+256GB memory configuration will arrive with a price of US$1,099 (S$1518), while the higher-end model with 12GB+512GB setup will arrive at US$1,199 (S$1656).

Currently, there are still no news on the official availability and pricing for Singapore.
