Samsung Galaxy Note20 could feature a FHD+ display with 60Hz refresh rate

Recent reports have pointed out that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note20 series could debut alongside the Galaxy Fold 2 and Watch 3 on August 5th.

Ahead of its official launch, new information pertaining to the upcoming Galaxy Note20 has been revealed by reputable tipster @UniverseIce who have attained a near perfect track record when it comes to Samsung’s leaks.

According to him, the specifications of the Galaxy Note20 will be incredibly far off from the Note20 Ultra. He noted that the device will feature a flat display which will encompass a FHD+ screen resolution and comes with support for just 60Hz screen refresh rate.

Given that other OEMs are now placing more emphasize on screen refresh rate, it could be seen as a step backward if the Galaxy Note 20 indeed has a mere 60Hz refresh rate. In fact, recent mid-ranger smartphones including the affordable Realme 6 Pro already has 90hz refresh rate – so we definitely expect more from a flagship phone.

Of course, this could be a strategy to bump up the sales of its higher-end Note20 model as noted by GSMArena. Therefore, all these premium features could be exclusive only to the more expensive Galaxy Note20 Ultra.

Hopefully, the toned-down specs for the Note20 could be compensated by a lower price point which would make it more justifiable.
