Samsung Galaxy Note20 & Note20 Ultra goes official in Singapore

After all the hype, Samsung finally announced the next-generation’s Note20 flagship series in Singapore which will go on sale island-wide starting August 21st.

This time round, the new Galaxy Note20 series will come in three different flavors – Galaxy Note20 4G, Galaxy Note20 5G, as well as the ultra high-end Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G.

As usual, let’s kick off with the highest-end model among the trio – Galaxy Note20 Ultra. No doubt, the new iteration’s Note20 Ultra comes with monumental upgrades over its Galaxy Note 10+ predecessor.

It features a nice 6.9-inches dual-curved, Dynamic AMOLED 2X front display which has an immersive WQHD+ screen resolution and a buttery-smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate. It also has the usual Infinity-O design to accommodate its 10 megapixels selfie camera at the front

Needless to say, the Galaxy Note20 ultra also carries support for all HDR10+ contents. On top of that, its front display will also be shielded by the latest Gorilla Glass Victus which is said to be able to withstand a 2m drop on a hard surface.

Over at the back, the Galaxy Note20 ultra has a sleek rectangular camera module which play host to a revolutionary triple-cameras system which is headlined by a 108 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) primary shooter, 12 megapixels (f/3.3 aperture) telephoto periscope lens, as well as an 12 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens.

Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra which is able to achieve 100x space zoom, the Note20 Ultra will be limited to 50x space zoom – which is certainly more than sufficient for most users.

At the helm, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra will be powered by the flagship Exynos 990 platform which carries support for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. This will be assisted by up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and a hefty 512GB UFS 3.1 flash storage.

Of course, speaking of the Note series signature S-pen, it will also be upgraded with a much faster reaction time of 9ms which will provide an even smoother experience for note-taking or drawings.

To keep its lights on, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra is fitted with a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also comes with support for both wireless and reverse charging as well.

Both the 4G and 5G models of the Galaxy Note20 smartphones share similar specs other than their connectivity options.

The Samsung Galaxy Note20 boasts a 6.7-inches Super AMOLED+ front display which delivers a FHD+ screen resolution and carries support for HDR10+ contents. However, it will be featuring a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate.

Once again, the Galaxy Note20 will continue to be driven by an octa-core 7nm+ Exynos 990 SoC which is also used in the current Galaxy S20 series smartphones. For the 5G model, its processor will be paired an additional 5G modem to support the upcoming 5G network in Singapore.

Coming to its memory configuration, both the Galaxy Note 20 4G and Note20 5G will arrives with 8 gigs worth of blazing-fast LPDDR5 RAM. Although the Note20 5G will be offered in both 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options, but the Note20 4G will be available only in a single 256GB UFS 3.1 storage option.

On the photography-side, the Galaxy Note20 will flaunt a triple-camera system at the back which consists of a 12 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) primary shooter, 64 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) telephoto lens, as well as a 12 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens. This will be rounded up by a 10 megapixels selfie camera at the front.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note20 actually has a slightly smaller 4,300mAh battery which will maintain the same 25W fast-charging, as well as its support for wireless and reverse charging.
