The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G that was introduced alongside the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e phones in February has got a market release date today. The South Korean company has confirmed that it will be releasing the phone in the market on April 5. This will make it the first phone 5G to release in the market. By its release, South Korea will be first ever country in the world to support commercial 5G networks for mobile phones. The Galaxy S10 5G with 256 GB and 512 GB inbuilt storage choices is up for pre-orders in the home country through the local carries.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is fitted with a 6.7 Dynamic AMOLED quad HD+ display that an elliptical cutout for the 10-megapixel + ToF sensor dual front-facing cameras. The display of the phone is embedded with the advanced ultra-sonic fingerprint reader. In South Korea, the smartphone will be releasing with Exynos 9820 SoC and 8 GB of RAM. The Android 9 Pie OS with Samsung One UI comes preloaded on the device.
The rear shell of the Galaxy S10 5G has a triple camera setup with 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor and an ultra wide-angle lens of 16-megapixel. The phone is packed with a big battery of 4,500mAh capacity. Samsung has included support for 25W fast charging and15W wireless charging on the device.
The 256 GB and 512 GB Galaxy S10 5G models are respectively priced at KRW 1,39,000 ($1,125) and KRW 1,55,000 ($1,365). The 256 GB model will be available in three colors such as Crown Silver, Majestic Black and Royal Gold. The 512 GB variant will be available in same color options expect for Royal Gold. The general sales of the Galaxy S10 5G will kick off from April 15.
