Following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note20 series smartphones last month, Samsung is now back to the headline with a more affordable flagship phone known as the Galaxy S20 FE 5G.
In Singapore, this device serves to be a decent alternative over some of the closely-priced devices including the OnePlus 8 Pro and Vivo X50 Pro (Review) to name a few.
For starter, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is built around a 6.5-inches Super AMOLED display offering a FHD+ screen resolution and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It will be a flat display that employs an Infinity-O design to accommodate its 32 megapixels (F/2.2 aperture) selfie camera.
Flipping the device over, there will be a familiar camera housing which resembles what we’d saw on the Galaxy S20 previously. This time round, the triple camera system will be headlined by the same 12 megapixels primary shooter (F/1.8 aperture) with Dual Pixel Autofocus and OIS stabilization.
As for the other two auxiliary cameras, they include a 12 megapixels (F/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens with 123-degree FoV, as well as an 8 megapixels (F/2.4 aperture) telephoto camera capable of supporting up to 30x Space Zoom.
At the helm, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chip. This will be accompanied by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep its light on, the Galaxy S20 FE draws power from a massive 4,500mAh battery with up to 25W fast-charging support. Needless to say, the device will also come with the usual wireless and reverse charging support as well.
Last but not the least, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will be available in a myriad of colors including Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, as well as Cloud White.
For those who’re interested, pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will kick off on October 1st at at telecommunication operators (Singtel and StarHub), as well as Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, major consumer electronics stores and KrisShop, at a recommended retail price of $1,098 and $1,168 for the 128GB and 256GB variants respectively.
All consumers who pre-order the Galaxy S20 FE with the telecommunication operators will receive Galaxy Buds+ (Black) worth $268 and Samsung EVO Plus microSD Memory Card 128GB worth $39.90, while pre-orders from other channels will receive Galaxy Buds+ (Black) worth $268, upon successful payment for and collection or delivery of their pre-order.
According to Samsung Singapore, the Galaxy S20 FE will be available island-wide from October 16th.
