A recent report by GizmoChina had recently revealed that the Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi Mi 11 series on Dec. 29 in China. Ahead of the official announcement of the Mi 11 series, Samsung has started receiving reservations for the Galaxy S21 series in China.
China along with markets like the U.S. and South Korea is expected to receive the Snapdragon 888 powered Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S1 Ultra models. As it is known, Europe and India are likely to be treated with their Exynos 2100 SoC versions. While Samsung has begun the reservations in China, it is already known that the Galaxy S21 series will break cover in January.
Probably, the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event will be held on Jan. 14 and the S21 series may release in the Chinese market by the end of January. It is likely that the Xiaomi Mi 11 series could release in the market as the first Snapdragon 888 powered handsets.
Meanwhile, the rumor mill is actively spilling details of the Galaxy S21 series. All three phones will be sporting Infinity-O display design. The S21 is expected to arrive with a plastic rear, whereas the S21 Plus and Ultra editions are likely to come with glass back. The S21 and S21 Plus are expected to arrive with 64-megapixel triple rear cameras, whereas the Ultra variant will have a 108-megapixel quad camera system. As multiple reports have revealed, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the first S-series smartphone from the brand to carry support for S Pen stylus.
There is no word on the pricing of the Galaxy S21 series. What is known is that the Galaxy S21 models could be priced lower than the Galaxy S20 lineup due to the economic shakeup caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In some markets, the S21 series will not be bundled with charger.
