The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 200-megapixel primary camera. The rest of the specs are identical to those of the S22 Ultra from last year. New leaks courtesy of tipster Ice Universe reveal that the S24 Ultra will come equipped with an upgraded display and a new telephoto camera.
While the tipster did not divulge any information on the display specifications of the S24 Ultra, he has revealed vital details about the telephoto camera. According to the leaker, the S24 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera instead of the 10-megapixel telephoto snapper that was made available on the predecessor models.
The new 50-megapixel telephoto camera of the S24 Ultra will have a 1/2.52-inch sensor size. The inclusion of the new telephoto snapper will allow users to capture shots with 5x optical zoom.
The new telephoto camera will use the same camera sensors that are available on the S24 Ultra. That means that the rear camera setup will also include a 200-megapixel main camera, a 10-megapixel periscope zoom lens, and possibly a 12-megapixel ultra-wide snapper. For selfies, it will have a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra rumors have claimed that it may house a 5,100mAh battery with 45W or 65W fast charging. The device was recently spotted on Geekbench with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and 8 GB of RAM. The S24 Ultra is expected to launch along with the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Plus in the first quarter of 2024.
