Samsung will announce the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra on Jan. 22 globally. Reports have revealed that the lineup will also include a new model dubbed the Galaxy S25 Slim, which is expected to launch on a later date. A new leak, courtesy of a Chinese tech blogger, has tipped the launch timeframe of the S25 Slim.
As per the leak, the Galaxy S25 Slim will probably debut in May 2025. The device was recently spotted in Geekbench’s database with the SM-S937U model number. The device was found to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim: What to expect?
As the moniker goes, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be the slimmest model in the S25 series. It is expected to have a thickness of only 6.5mm. It is likely to be positioned between the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra.
The S25 Slim may house a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen and pack a battery of around 4,700mAh to 5,000mAh capacity. The display is expected to support a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on One UI 7-based Android 15.
Its rear camera setup is expected to include a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 primary camera, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
At present, there is no information about the Galaxy S25 Slim’s RAM and storage configuration. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S25 Slim will compete with the iPhone 17 Air, also anticipated to feature an ultra-thin design. While the iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in September 2025, it remains to be seen whether the company announces the Air model separately.
