Last year, Samsung had debuted the Galaxy S7 Active in June. The information coming from the rumor mill suggests that Samsung may soon debut the Galaxy S8 Active as it has already received certification from Wi-Fi Alliance and FCC (Federal Communication Commission) in the U.S. Moreover, a leaked video of the smartphone has appeared.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is expected to come with the same specs that are present on Galaxy S8. However, it won’t be featuring a dual-edge curved screen. Instead, it will arrive with a flat display. The screen will not be protected by Gorilla Glass, but it will feature a stronger plastic over the display. Compared to 3,000mAh battery of Galaxy S8, its Active variant will come with a larger 4,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy S8 Active will have a MIL-STD-810G grade body and it will be exclusively available through AT&T in the U.S. It will be thicker and heavier than the Galaxy S8. As far as specs is concerned, it is expected to come with Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4 GB RAM and a native storage of 64 GB. It will be featuring a rear-facing finger scanner sitting alongside the camera as it can be seen on the Galaxy S8.
