Rumors have it that Samsung is reportedly testing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini in China. It is speculated that the model number SM-G8750 belongs to the rumored Galaxy S9 Mini. The very same model number has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking site to reveal some of its key specs.
As it can be seen in the above image, the SM-G8750 smartphone from Samsung features Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Hence, the Galaxy S9 Mini could be the first Samsung phone to feature the SD 660 chipset. The handset is running on Android 8.1.0 Oreo. Apart from these details, there is no information available on the other specs of the phone. The rumor mill is expected to reveal more information on it the coming weeks.
On Geekbench’s single-core test, the Galaxy S9 Mini has scored 1619 score. On the other side, it has reached a score of 5955 in the multi-core test. It is speculated that the Galaxy S9 Mini will also arrive with Infinity Display design like the bigger Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. Samsung is yet to confirm on the existence of the Galaxy S9 Mini. Hence, there is no information available on its launch date.
After launching the Galaxy S5 Mini in 2014, the company did not release mini versions of Galaxy S6, S7 and S8 smartphones. However, it seems that the South Korean company will finally debut the mini version for Galaxy S9 this year.
