Samsung Galaxy S9 Renders Reveal Fingerprint Scanner Placed Below Dual Rear Cameras

The rumor mill is claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S9 would be debuting in the first quarter of the next year. The computer aided design of the Galaxy S9 has appeared on Weibo. It reveals what to expect on the design of the Galaxy S9.

Recently, a Chinese tipster had claimed that Samsung will bring a major change on the rear side of the upcoming Galaxy S9 flagship phone. The only major issue with the Galaxy S8 duo is the placement of the fingerprint scanner. Since it is placed very near to the rear camera, users end up smudging the lenses. Samsung may not want Galaxy S9 users to face such an issue as it is speculated to arrive as the first Galaxy S series flagship to feature dual rear cameras.

The CAD renders suggest that the fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy S9 will be placed below the vertically stacked dual rear cameras. Below the dual camera setup is the fingerprint sensor. The LED flash and heart rate sensor seems to be place on the right side of the dual camera system. The Galaxy Note 8 has a horizontally stacked dual camera system.

The overall design of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 duo seems to be same as their predecessor phones. Like the Galaxy S8 phones, the S9 and S9+ are expected to feature the same-sized Infinity Display panels. The rear side of the Galaxy S9 duo may feature 3D glass panel. Other sources have revealed that it would be featuring Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
