The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is drawing near. Several reports have claimed that instead of August, this year’s event will take place in July. Today, Samsung DX’s Global Marketing Centre President, Lee Young Hee, confirmed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in Seoul, South Korea.
Hee added that the event will be held in the last week of July. While the date of the event is yet to be confirmed, it is speculated that it could be scheduled for July 26 or July 27. He did not reveal any information on the products that are scheduled to go official this July.
Reports have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Both devices are expected to come equipped with a new hinge, which will significantly reduce the display crease.
Both devices are said to be powered by the 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, which also powers the Galaxy S23 series. Both foldables are also expected to offer IP58-rated dust and water resistance.
The event will also see the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S9 series of flagship tablets. The lineup will have three models, such as the Galaxy Tab S9, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These devices will also feature the same chip as the Galaxy Z foldables.
The Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are also expected to debut at the forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. One of the major attractions of the Watch 6 series is that it will bring the rotatable dial, which was last seen on the Galaxy Watch 4 lineup. The Galaxy Watch Buds 3 TWS earbuds is also expected to debut at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
