Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable devices in the third quarter of 2023. The OPPO Find N2 Flip, which just came out on the world market, will be competing with the Z Flip 5. A new leak has revealed that the Z Flip 5 will arrive with a larger external screen than the Z Flip 4.
According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s cover display will be bigger than that of the Find N2 Flip. For the uninitiated, the Find N2 Flip features a 3.26-inch cover display.
It is not the first time that the rumor mill has spoken about the Z Flip 5. In December last year, DCSS Consultants CEO and display analyst Ross Young also claimed that the Z Flip 5’s external display will be significantly bigger than that of the Z Flip 4.
Offering more space on the external screen suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will possibly allow users to access some apps apart from checking notifications and using it as a viewfinder. Other reports have claimed that Samsung may incorporate a new hinge on the Z Flip 5 to get rid of the display crease.
Rumors are rife that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, it may not be the same chip that is present under the hood of the SD8G2-powered phones, but a custom version that powers the Galaxy S23 series. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about the Z Flip 5.
