On February 11th, Samsung is expected to announce their latest Galaxy S20 Flagship series, as well as the highly-anticipated Galaxy Z Flip clamshell.
While we’d already seen the official renders of the upcoming Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra, the actual design of the Galaxy Z Flip remains a mystery.
However, that’s not the case anymore. Courtesy of the folks over at Winfuture.de, we’re finally able to have our first official look at the Galaxy Z Flip’s actual design.
Similar to what we’d seen from the earlier alleged live shots of the device, the fresh renders here depict the all-new Infinity-Flex display which continues to employ a central hole-punched design for it’s selfie camera. It’s selfie camera is none other than a 10 megapixels sensor that has autofocus capability.
The front panel will feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display (when fully unfolded) which has an extremely tall 22:9 aspect ratio. It’s front display is also touted to have a 2636 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and will be able to support HDR+.
From the renders, it is pretty obvious that the side bezels of the front panel are slightly “raised” to protect it’s front display against accidental drops. Moreover, it is also said that the front display has a layer of “ultra thin glass” which acts as an additional layer of protection.

Moving on to the rear side of the Galaxy Z Flip, we could see a dual-camera setup located on the top-left corner of the device. This dual-camera module will play host to a pair of 12 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) primary shooter, as well as a 12 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide angle camera.
Towards the right of the rear camera module, there will also be a tiny 1.06-inch Super AMOLED display which has a 300 ×116 pixels resolution. This is an “always-on” display which can show time and notifications to the users.
Under the hood, the clamshell will be driven by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC and offers a respectable 8GB RAM and 256GB native storage space. Just like the current Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip will also be fueled by dual batteries with an overall capacity of 3,300mAh.
