Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to launch in August this year. According to reliable tipster Roland Quandt, the South Korean tech giant has started the mass production of the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s components. A recent leak revealed the entire specs of the phone, which indicated that it could be an incremental upgrade as compared to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, the Z Fold 4 is expected to come with an updated design.
Tipster Ice Universe claimed that the Z Fold 4’s design has changed a lot. As shown in the image below, the Z Fold 4 will have a thinner hinge as compared to the predecessor model. The Z Fold 3’s outer display and inner screens offer 24.5:9 and 5:4 aspect ratios, respectively. However, the Z Fold 4’s cover display may offer a 23:9 aspect ratio, while the inner foldable screen may deliver a 6:5 aspect ratio.
Hence, it appears that the Z Fold 4 will have a wider and shorter form factor as compared to the previous generation. However, the device will not have a dedicated slot for storing the S Pen. Ice Universe also revealed that the Z Fold 4’s under-display camera will be less visible as it will have 400 pixels on the screen above the camera instead of 172 pixels on the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s under-display camera.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a 6.2-inch AMOLED HD+ cover display and a 7.6-inch inner foldable AMOLED FHD+ pane. Both screens will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display will house a 10-megapixel front camera, whereas the foldable screen will have a 16-megapixel under-display selfie camera. The rear shell of the device will have a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultrawide) + 12-megapixel (telephoto, with 3x zoom) triple camera unit.
The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset will power the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The new Samsung foldable will offer 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will be packed with a 4,400mAh battery that supports 25W charging. It will run on the One UI flavored Android 12 OS.
