Nothing has officially announced a launch event on March 4, where it is expected to unveil a new product. While the company has not confirmed the device names, leaks strongly suggest that the Nothing Phone 3a will make its debut. A new report by X user Gadget Bits has revealed key specifications of the upcoming smartphone, hinting at a shift in chipset and camera setup compared to its predecessor. The Nothing Phone 3a is expected to be a mid-range offering but with notable improvements in performance and photography capabilities.

The Nothing Phone 3a is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it larger than previous Nothing “a” models. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, marking a departure from the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro found in the Phone 2a.
The handset is expected to run on Nothing OS 3.1, based on Android 15, and will continue to offer the brand’s signature Glyph interface on the rear panel. The phone is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging support, similar to its predecessor.
For cameras, the Nothing Phone 3a is rumoured to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. This would make it the first Nothing phone to feature a dedicated telephoto lens, though it comes at the cost of a downgraded ultra-wide camera. On the front, the device is said to sport a 32-megapixel selfie shooter housed within a punch-hole cutout.
Nothing is also reportedly working on a Nothing Phone 3a Plus, which is rumoured to feature a periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities. This model is likely to launch a few weeks after the Nothing Phone 3a, though official details remain unconfirmed.
