Reports emerging from Korean media and sources quoted by Ice Universe suggest that Samsung is preparing to unveil its first tri-foldable smartphone very soon. The publication indicates that Samsung has finalized a launch window for the device and is expected to introduce it formally next month.
The latest leak also provides an outline of the design and hardware, setting the stage for what could be Samsung’s most experimental foldable to date.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold specifications
According to The Chosun Daily, Samsung is aiming to introduce the Galaxy Z TriFold on Dec. 5, aligning with earlier statements that the product would arrive before the end of the year. The phone reportedly adopts a three-part structure with the external screen positioned in the centre while the two internal sections fold inward. The cover display is said to measure 6.5 inches, and the fully expanded inner panel increases to 10 inches, giving it a tablet-like format.
The device is expected to measure around 4.2mm when unfolded and roughly 14mm in its closed state. Samsung has also equipped it with a 5,600mAh battery spread across three cells, which is significantly larger than the capacity offered in its current bi-fold model. Early prototypes were displayed at industry events, indicating the company’s confidence in the durability of this form factor.

The report states that Samsung intends to sell the Galaxy Z TriFold in limited numbers, focusing on select regions rather than a widespread global release. The expected price is around 4.4 million KRW (~$3,000), positioning it as an ultra-premium showcase product.
