The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 will be held at Las Vegas, U.S. between Jan. 7 to Jan. 12. Like other tech companies, Samsung will be also available at the CES 2018 to unveil its new technologies. The following banner from the South Korean company with “Samsung X CES 2018” text on it suggests that the company may unveil the heavily rumored Galaxy X phone.
Samsung had trademarked that Galaxy X moniker earlier this year. The Samsung Galaxy X that was spotted with SM-G888N0 model number on the official website has already received Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi certification. The rumor mill has been consistently speculating that it could be the first foldable phone from the company. However, a recent press release from Samsung describes the Galaxy X as the rugged smartphone that is designed for professionals. This phone is likely to support the next-generation LTE-R connectivity.
There is no other information available on the specifications and features of the Galaxy X. It is also speculated that the handset may not be made available outside of South Korea at the beginning. Apart from the Galaxy X phone, the company is also expected to showcase the Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) smartphones at CES 2018.
