Samsung reportedly halted shipments of Galaxy Note 7

Samsung has confirmed that they had delayed the shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 according to a new Reuters report which quoted an earlier statement from Samsung that reads “Shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 are being delayed due to additional tests being conducted for product quality.”

From what we had learnt so far, the delay is probably attributed to the recent cases of Galaxy Note 7 exploding while charging – giving rise to safety concern over the usage of their newly released phablet which had already been sold out 400,000 units in Korea so far.

This of course, isn’t favorable for Samsung given that the iPhone 7 (it’s major competitor) is set to be announced on September 7th and is expected to hit the market on September 16th according to prominent leaker Evan Blass.
