Samsung is rumored to be working on a high-end flip phone. It is expected to arrive as a successor for the Samsung W2017 smartphone that had launched last year. The alleged Samsung W2018 flip phone was spotted on TENAA few months ago with high-end specs like Snapdragon 821AB chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Fresh information coming from a Chinese leakster suggests that the Samsung W2018 will be arriving with Snapdragon 835.

Earlier today, the Chinese leakster had claimed that Samsung is working a non-Galaxy branded flagship smartphone. However, he did not reveal the name of the smartphone. Interestingly, the W2017 did not carry “Galaxy” in its moniker. Hence, the Samsung W2018 could possibly be the non-Galaxy flagship phone from the South Korean company.

According to the leakster, the W2018 will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6 GB of RAM and it would be coming with a native storage of 64 GB. These specs are also rumored to be available on the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 flagship. TENAA listing had revealed that the W2018 has 12-megapixel rear camera and a pair of 4.2-inch FHD screen. A 2,300mAh non-removable battery is expected to power the Samsung W2018. Clamshell phones are quite popular in South Korea and China. Hence, the W2018 is expected to release in these markets. More information on the W2018 is expected to appear in the coming future.
