For the past few days, the rumor mill has been claiming that Honor will announce its next-generation flip phone this month in China. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that the Honor Magic V Flip 2 will debut on Aug. 21 in the home market. Additionally, the brand has also confirmed the design, color options, and variants of the device.
Honor Magic V Flip 2 design, color and storage variants

The Honor Magic V Flip 2’s official images have confirmed that it will sport a renewed design compared to the previous generation. While the original model featured asymmetrical camera modules, the upcoming V Flip 2 has two equally sized camera modules.
The Magic V Flip 2 is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint sensor and a large cover display like its predecessor. The LED flash has been repositioned to the lower part of the back panel.
Honor is yet to reveal the key specifications of the device, but it is confirmed to arrive in three options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It is also confirmed to arrive in four colours: blue, purple, white, and black. Specifically, the blue variant is a special edition designed by Professor Jimmy Choo.
According to reports, the Honor Magic V Flip 2 will feature a 4-inch LTPO OLED cover screen. Under the hood, the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a 5,500mAh battery with 80W charging support. The device is expected to run on MagicOS 9-based Android 15 and feature a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup.
