There have been reports that Honor will soon launch the Magic V5 foldable phone. Today, the brand released an official confirmation through its Weibo handle that the Magic V5 will debut on July 2 in China. Additionally, the brand also revealed that the MagicPad 3 tablet will debut on the same date.

One of the major highlights of the Honor Magic V5 is that it will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Some reports claim that it may feature the 4.47GHz Leading Version, which is nothing but an overclocked edition. On the other hand, the Oppo Find N5, which debuted earlier this year, featured the 7-core edition of the same chip.
According to reports, the Honor Magic V5 is expected to dethrone the Find N5 to become the slimmest foldable phone. It is expected to feature an 8-inch foldable display on the inside and a 6.45-inch cover screen. The device may pack a 6,100mAh battery with 66W charging support. It is also said to be equipped with a 200-megapixel triple camera unit.
The MagicPad 3 is coming as a successor to the MagicPad 2, which debuted in July 2024. The predecessor model featured a 12.3-inch OLED panel, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, and a 10,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Honor has officially confirmed that the MagicPad 3 will be equipped with a larger 13.3-inch screen, but this time around the brand has opted for an LCD panel.
At present, there is no information about the chipset and battery size of the MagicPad 3. However, it is expected to continue to support 66W fast charging. As shown in the official poster, it will sport an ultra-thin design, measuring only 5.87mm in thickness.
While Honor is yet to officially confirm it, the brand is expected to announce a slew of other devices at the same launch event.
