Huawei has officially revealed that the Pura 80 series and a range of smart devices, including the Watch 5, will be unveiled on 11 June in China. Shared via Huawei’s Weibo handle, the announcement confirms four models in the upcoming flagship range: Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and Pura 80 Ultra. The official poster showcases two large elliptical lens cutouts. It suggests that the device shown in the image could be the P80 Ultra with a dual periscope camera system. The layout suggests a refined, non-retractable design that may house up to four sensors in a triangular arrangement.
It goes without saying that the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra will be packed with the most advanced set of cameras in the lineup. Reports suggest it will debut a custom-developed 1-inch LOFIC CMOS sensor — model SC5A0CS — created by SmartSens. The sensor is expected to use Huawei’s RYYB color filter array to deliver an impressive photography experience in low-light conditions.
The Ultra model is also rumored to feature a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch periscope telephoto camera, one of the largest in the segment, even surpassing the size of Samsung’s HP9. Beyond the cameras, the entire Huawei Pura 80 series is expected to come equipped with HarmonyOS 5, marking it as the first flagship phone to do so. The updated OS brings better security, smoother animations, and tighter integration across devices. The lineup is also expected to feature the Kirin 9020, which is the most recent flagship chipset from Huawei.
While the brand has revealed the design of the Huawei Watch 5, it is yet to confirm its key specifications.
