iQOO recently confirmed that it will announce the iQOO Neo 8 and the Neo 8 Pro smartphones on May 23 in China. There have been speculations that the iQOO Pad will also debut alongside the Neo 8 series as the company’s first tablet. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that it will indeed announce the iQOO Pad on May 23.
The iQOO Pad is now available for reservations through the official webstore, Jingdong Mall, and Tmall. One of the JD listings has revealed the variants of the device.
As revealed in the above screengrab from the JD listing, the iQOO Pad will arrive in China in four variants, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage.
The image of the iQOO Pad shows that its appearance will be identical to the Vivo Pad 2. Earlier this month, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the key specifications of the iQOO Pad. He revealed that the tablet has a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
He added that the tablet is powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset and a 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. Its USB-C port will support the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard. The device has also been spotted with a 44W charger at the 3C certification platform in China. Hence, it appears that the iQOO Pad could be a rebranded or tweaked version of the Vivo Pad 2 that was announced in China in April.
