After teasing for a couple of weeks, iQOO India has finally confirmed the iQOO Z7 5G launch date. The company revealed that the handset will be announced at 12 pm on March 21 in the country.
The iQOO Z7 5G will arrive as the successor to the iQOO Z6 5G, which was announced last year. The recent teasers released by the brand reveal that the Z7 will have a waterdrop notch display on the front and a dual-camera setup on the back.
The company is yet to officially confirm the key features of the device. However, in an interview with NDTV Gadgets 360, iQOO India CEO Nipun Maurya confirmed a few key features of the device. He revealed that the device is equipped with an AMOLED display.
The official renders of the device that have surfaced so far revealed that the device does not have a side-facing or a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. This indicates that the device could be equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
It is also now confirmed that the iQOO Z7 5G will be equipped with an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel camera. There is no word on the auxiliary camera of the device. Like the predecessor model, it may come equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera.
The other details of the iQOO Z7 5G are yet to be revealed. It is likely that the brand will confirm more details about the device in the coming days. iQOO is also expected to release the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in the Indian market. It is likely that this device will be made official at a later date.
