Several leaks have claimed that Motorola will soon unveil its flip phone in multiple markets. Today, the global wing of the brand confirmed that it will be announced on June 1.
The company is yet to officially confirm the name of the device. However, multiple reports have revealed that the device will be called the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.
Shown above is a screengrab from the tweet that confirms June 1 as the launch date for the Razr 40 Ultra. As can be seen, it seems to showcase two devices. Hence, it appears that the rumored Motorola Razr 40 may also debut alongside the Razr 40 Ultra.
The rumor mill is yet to leak the specifications of the Razr 40. However, it is said to be a toned-down version of the Razr 40 Ultra, as it will feature a smaller cover display.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is said to feature a 6.9-inch foldable AMOLED FHD+ 165Hz screen with a centred punch-hole. It is likely to feature a 3.6-inch cover OLED display. For photography, it may feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 12-megapixel (main) + 13-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system. The phone will run on My UX-based Android 13 and have a side-facing fingerprint sensor.
The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset will power the device, along with up to 12 GB of RAM. The device may offer up to 512 GB of storage and pack a 3,800mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It is likely to arrive in three colors, such as black, blue, and barberry.
